Snow

Yes. It snowed today.. and the country seems to be obsessed!

I didn't actually venture out of my house today, due to my motorbike riding during other weekdays giving me enough opportunity to be in the freezing cold - but I still got a little bit creative with capturing the snow on digital form.

I hope it does not last long, I want the summer back where I can go out in a t-shirt! Motorbike riding in sub zero temperatures would not be so bad if it were not so dark, so early in the afternoon. Car drivers just cannot see us.

Eos 550D + Nunchucks = Extreme slo-mo footage :D

So, after a bit of time out from blogging I hope to make a little return.

To update the past few weeks, I have had a motorbike crash, my laptop has died, I have been paid out for motorbike repair, I have bought a new laptop, I have had to buy a new screen to work with new laptop, I bought a new digital SLR camera and I have been playing with all new things a lot!

Here's my latest little experiment.

Shot on my new Canon Eos 550d at 60fps, conformed to 23.98fps using Cinema Tools and edited in Final Cut Pro. Music is 'Stompbox' by Overseer. The 60fps footage at the end is waaaay overkill for the human eye, but is great for slow motion footage.

Awesome.

ID Badge Photos

Why is it an ID badge that allows access to one of the greatest toy shops in the world has a stupidly close photo of me on it?!

If I lose it, its £10 out my wages. If I want to change photo, its also £10.

Looks like I'm stuck with an out of proportioned head then...

Photo Editing - What A Fun Thing To Do On A Saturday Night!

The weekend begins with a nice little photo editing job I am doing for a good friend, on the promotional shots of a product he hopes to be introducing to the student market! It is a large bag that contains all the basic equipment for a student making the transition from home to university (kitchenware, bedroom stuff etc).

I have done some shots for him myself...

and now I have more photos of the updated prototype to edit.

For anyone starting university soon without a clue where to start buying all kitchen cutlery, bed linen, study equipment - have a look at Uni Sak!! It doubles up as a dirty laundry bag once empty too :)

And so I continue with my editing... narrowed down 397 raw shots to the 62 best!!
Thank goodness for the creation of music to aid the monotony of photograph level/colour correction.
